Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) is administered by USA Archery, the national governing body for the sport of archery; the program is open to any youth archer aged 8 to 18. The JOAD program is focused on tournament competition and is intended for young archers with at least basic experience and training.

Our practice sessions are on Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM at the PRA Range.

  • Private lessons
We offer one-on-one instruction for beginning-to-intermediate archers. We've worked with students from four to fifty.
  • Classes
We offer classes of up to 20 students (ages 13 and up) or up to 10 students (ages 8 to 12). The classes can be one two-hour lesson per week for six weeks, or four daily one-hour lessons over three weeks, or pretty much any arrangement you'd like.
  • Corporate team-building activities
Archery is a sport of discipline, control and consistency. As such it is an ideal activity for executives and business-people. We can provide a unique experience for your staff.
  • Group activities
The perfect afternoon activity for your Adventure Club, singles group, youth group or bunch of friends looking for something to do!
  • Homeschool and Private school PE credit
Many private schools allow students to earn PE credit off-campus. Archery is a great sport for kids who hate sports. We can also provide on-site classes for interested schools or for extracurricular clubs.
  • Parties
Have a Robin Hood theme party! Put on your Renaissance Faire costumes and enjoy archery in the meadow. Your friendly instructor will come in costume as well.
  • Boy Scout Merit Badge
We are authorized Merit Badge Counselors for the San Gabriel Valley Council and Rose Bowl District of the Boy Scouts of America. We can also provide archery activities for Cub Scouts, Girls Scouts and any other children's program.
